I was fortunate to have been asked to photograph this experience from behind the scenes and before the opening show, which enabled me to create a personal connection to each performance.
What was important about this specific performance, was no one outside of the performance team had any idea what was behind the stage doors or what would happen during the performance.
What is really special, is these pictures are the only capture of the show, so if you weren’t in the audience, you wont know what happened behind those doors.
It was powerful.
It was envoking.
It was intense.
It was releasing.
It was indigenous.
It was ritual.
It was community.
